Volunteering with the City of Burlington

Volunteers are the heart of successful programs and vital to communities world-wide. Want to do something meaningful in the Burlington community? Volunteering is the best way to meet people, be a part of your community, and make a difference. Our volunteers contribute thousands of hours of service each year. Volunteers help the City of Burlington by serving on Boards, Commissions and Committees. In addition, volunteers are essential to various City departments including the Burlington Fire Department, the Burlington Public Library and the Park Department.

The City often needs help with its Special Events. The city may hold very large scale events, such as the Burlington Ice Festival or Autumn Fest, needing photographers, greeters, folks to help with informational displays, etc.

The City of Burlington also encourages all private citizens to become involved in the election process. One of the most rewarding ways to do this is to become an Election Day poll worker. Citizen involvement is essential to conduct open, accurate and fair elections in Wisconsin.
