WHEREAS, the Highway 142 overpass at the BHS/Gateway campus was originally constructed due to railroad traffic that no longer exits,

WHEREAS, there are safety concerns at the BHS/Gateway campus, removal of Highway 142 overpass would allow for a second point of ingress/egress from Highway 142 to the Gateway Technical School, Burlington High School and the Wellness Center,

WHEREAS, the school bus company will realize a fuel savings from using an exit from Highway 142,

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Burlington Town Board and City of Burlington Council hereby support and request the removal of Highway 142 Overpass at the BHS/Gateway campus.
