A RESOLUTION APPROVING A PUBLIC
INGRESS AND EGRESS EASEMENT EXTENDING ACROSS AND FROM
THE CHOCOLATEFEST GROUNDS TO MARYLAND AVENUE
WHEREAS the City of Burlington wishes to
construct a public road over and across its lands and
the land it leases to Chocolate City Festivals, Inc. and
wishes to designate a public ingress and egress easement
over which the roadway will be built, as described and
shown on the attachments hereto, and Chocolate City
Festivals, Inc. has agreed to the creation of the
easement; and
WHEREAS, this public ingress and egress easement
is created to allow local motorists, including but not
limited to residents of the Maryland Avenue and Congress
Street neighborhood, access over that portion of the
lands as shown on the attachments hereto, but the
roadway will be closed for general access during the
period preceding, during and after ChocolateFest to
allow the preparation for, the operation of, and the
dismantling of the Festival.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common
Council of the City of Burlington, Racine County, State
of Wisconsin, to approve the Ingress and Easement
attached hereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby
authorized and directed to execute this Ingress and
Egress Easement on behalf of the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk is hereby
directed to record this Ingress and Egress Easement once
it is fully executed by all parties.
