WHEREAS, bids were received on March 15, 2007 for the City of Burlington 2007 Street and Sidewalk Improvement Program for work to be completed in the 2007 construction season; and

WHEREAS, City Engineer has recommended the rejection of all four bids that were received March 15, 2007, because they did not conform to the Project Bid Form and that the project be re-bid; and,

WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Burlington wishes to reject the bids received on March 15, 2007 and re-bid the project pursuant to the Engineer’s recommendation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Burlington, that the bids received on March 15, 2007 by the City for the 2007 Street and Sidewalk Improvement Program be rejected.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Engineer is directed to re-bid the 2007 Street and Sidewalk Improvement Program.
