WHEREAS, the City of Burlington has entered into a master agreement for engineering services with Applied Technologies, Inc.; and,

WHEREAS, the City has requested engineering services for a complete wastewater rate review to update and increase sewer charges; and,

WHEREAS, engineering services are required for data collection, forecasting future loadings, projecting future O & M expenses, forecasting wastewater flows and revenue requirements, performing a detailed cost allocation study, designing sewer user charges for the City’s Category A and Category B customers and outside contract communities, incorporating the City’s review comments and submitting a final report to the City Council, which has resulted in a task order, a copy which is attached hereto as Attachment "A"; and,

WHEREAS, said task order is for the not-to-exceed amount of $9,500.00 and has been recommended for approval by the Utility Manger; and,

WHEREAS, funding for Task Order Number Four is included in the 2007 Wastewater budget.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Burlington that the Task Order Number Four is hereby approved for the not-to-exceed amount of $9,500.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Task Order Number Four on behalf of the City.
