PUBLIC HEALTH OFFICER

The City of Burlington contracts with the Western Racine County Health Department for the services of a public health officer.  The Health Department is responsible for:

• The enforcement of state public health statutes and rules and City ordinances related to public health and sanitation;

• The investigation and supervision of the sanitary conditions of all premises in the City; and

• The promotion and spread of information as to the causes, nature and prevention of prevalent diseases and the preservation and improvement of health.
