WHAT IS THE CITIZEN POLICE ACADEMY?
The Burlington Citizen Police Academy is a community relations based program designed for the citizens of our community. The purpose of the Citizen Police Academy is to provide an opportunity for the sharing of knowledge between the police and the citizens, creating a mutually beneficial relationship developed through an understanding of the role of police officers in the community. The Academy is designed to meet specific concerns of the citizens - through classroom presentations; hands on participation; and, demonstrations.
