Mayor's Duties

The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the city. His responsibilities include ensuring that city ordinances and state laws are observed and enforced and that all city officers and employees discharge their duties. The Mayor gives the Council information and recommendations as he deems advantageous to the city. His duties include presiding at the meetings of the Common Council.
