COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETINGS

1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 p.m.

 

The Common Council meets as a Committee of the Whole (COW) preceding regular Common Council meetings.  A COW meeting is a workshop session where no formal action is taken by the Common Council.

The following types of discussions take place at Committee of the Whole workshops:

  • Citizen questions and concerns.

  • Items of discussion as requested by the Mayor or Alderpersons.

  • Review of policy action for future Common Council meetings.

  • Updates on department operations.

  • Preliminary policy and strategy discussions.

  • Staff reports and recommendations.

  • Presentations by other groups and agencies.
