The Board of Police and Fire Commissioners, also called
the Police and Fire Commission, is responsible for
creating an eligibility list of candidates for both
departments, as well as the promotion and discipline of
members. The Board has established rules that provide for
the examination of the physical and educational
qualifications of candidates and also for classification
of positions within each department.
