The Board of Public Works was called to order by Mayor Claude Lois at 11:02 a.m. at the Council Chambers with the following in attendance: Mayor Claude Lois, Alderman Jim McCourt, Attorney Thomas Kircher, City Administrator David Torgler, Tom Foht of Kapur Engineering, Larry Gobel and Judy Gerulat of DPW. Contractors who had submitted bids were also in attendance.

The purpose of the bid opening was the 2002 Street and Sidewalk Improvement Program.

Alderman Jim McCourt made a motion to approve the minutes of March 15, 2002, and with Attorney Kircher seconding the motion it carried with all in favor.

The following bids were opened and tabulated with the required bid bonds and addendums included with both bids.

Payne & Dolan $ 544,423.66

Alderman McCourt made a motion to refer the bids to Kapur Engineering and city staff for review and recommendation at the next council meeting. Attorney Kircher seconded the motion and with all in favor the motion carried.

Alderman McCourt made a motion to adjourn and Attorney Thomas Kircher seconded the motion and with all in favor the meeting adjourned at 11:05 a.m.
