The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President Thomas Pringle. Commissioners Present were Patricia Spiegelhoff, Norris (Jack) Berry, John Hotvedt, Ron Patla, and Fire Chief Dick Lodle.

Motion to approve the minutes of the August 1,2007 meeting by Commissioner Berry, seconded by Commissioner Hotvedt. Motion carried unanimously

Motion made by Commissioner Patla, Seconded by Commissioner Spiegelhoff to go into closed session pursuant to the authority of Section 19.85(1) of the Wisconsin State Statute to interview candidates for Fire Inspector at 6:01 p.m.

Motion at 6:37 p.m. to move out of closed session by Commissioner Hotvedt, seconded by Commissioner Patla to approve candidate for Fire Inspector.

Motion made by Commissioner Hotvedt, seconded by Commissioner Patla to select candidate number one on the eligibility list, offer of employment as Fire Inspector for the City of Burlington.

Roll call vote was called:

Motion carried unanimously.

Motion made by Commissioner Berry at 6:40 p.m.Seconded by Commissioner Patla to go into closed session Pursant to Section 19.85 (1)Wis. State Statute to discuss interview questions and process for hiring Police Lieutenant.

Motion made by Commissioner Hotvedt, seconded by Commissioner Patla at 7:02 p.m. to move out of closed session. Motion carried.
