The meeting was called to order at 7:15 by President Thomas Pringle. Commissioners present were Norris (Jack) Berry, John Hotvedt, Ron Patla and Patricia Spiegelhoff.

Motion made by Commissioner Spiegelhoff, seconded by Commissioner Hotvedt to approve the minutes of June 6th, June 19th and June 26th. Motion carried unanimously.

A letter of resignation from Police Chief David Walsh was presented and reluctantly accepted. Motion by Commissioner Hotvedt to accept the resignation seconded by Commissioner Spiegelhoff. Motion carried unanimously. The people of Burlington extend a thank you for four years of dedication and concern to the Burlington Community. We extend our Best Wishes for a successful move.

Motion made by Commissioner Berry, that appointment made for Assistant Police Chief Scott Eisenhauer as acting Police Chief effective July 7th, 2007 until such time as a Police Chief is hired. Seconded by Commissioner Patla. Motion carried unanimously.

Following a discussion and reading the questions for Sergeants interviews a consensus to use the questions as presented was determined. The oral interview for Sergeants meeting is July, 12th, 2007 at 5:00 p.m.

Commissioner Hotvedt moved to adjourn at 7:45 a.m. Seconded by Commissioner Patla. Motion carried unanimously.
