The meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m. by President Thomas Pringle. Commissioners present were Norris (Jack) Berry, John Hotvedt and James Stobber. Excused was Commissioner Patricia Spiegelhoff. Also, present were Police Chief David Walsh and Chief Richard Lodle.

Motion to approve the amended minutes of the May 3, 2006 meeting by Commissioner Stobber, seconded by Commissioner Hotvedt. Motion carried unanimously.

Fire Chief Lodle asked to go into a closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statue 19.85(1)C)) to interview firefighter application. Moved by Commissioner Berry, seconded by Commissioner Hotvedt to move into a closed session at 6:37 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. Motion to move out of closed session at 6:44 p.m. by Commissioner Hotvedt, seconded by Commissioner Berry. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Commissioner Berry, seconded by Commissioner Hotvedt to terminate the application of firefighter for failure to appear for the interview. Motion carried unanimously.

Police Chief Walsh reported on progress of police applicants, and asked the commission to interview candidates and establish an eligibility list. Police and Fire Commission will meet at 6:00 p.m. July 19`^h, 2006 to interview candidates.

Motion was made by Commissioner Hotvedt and seconded by Commissioner Berry to submit commission minutes to the city council for monthly meetings after they have been approved at a previous monthly meeting. Motion carried unanimously.

Commission held elections for positions of President and Secretary. Motion by Commissioner Stobber to nominate Commissioner Pringle for president. Motion by Commissioner Berry, seconded by Commissioner Hotvedt to close nominations and a unanimous ballot be cast for Commissioner Pringle. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by President Pringle to nominate Commissioner Spiegelhoff for secretary. Motion by commissioner Stobber, seconded by Commissioner Berry to close nominations and cast a unanimous ballot for Commissioner Spiegelhoff. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion to adjourn at 6:55 p.m. by President Pringle, seconded by Commissioner Berry. Motion carried unanimously.
