The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by
President Thomas Pringle. Commissioners present were
Patricia Spiegelhoff, Norris (Jack) Berry, David Kaiser
and James Stobber. Also present was Police Chief David
Walsh and Fire Chief Richard Lodle.
Motion to approve the minutes of September 7, 2005
meeting by Commissioner Kaiser, seconded by Commissioner
Spiegelhoff. Motion carried unanimously.
Police Chief's Report
The April meeting will include Officer Krupp who will
speak before the Commission and give a presentation of
his 13 months as a Sergeant and his job description. All
probationary officers are doing well.
Burlington Police Department 2006 training calendar
was distributed and all Commissioners are invited to
attend any of the trainings. Call Steve Hausner to
verify your attendance and the date and training session
you wish to attend. Call 8:00 a.m.– 4:00 p.m. at the
Police Station.
Fire Chief Report
Motion at 6:37 p.m. to go into closed session
pursuant to Wisconsin statue 19.85( l )(c) to consider
2005 firemen retirements and request for reappointment
of officers by Commissioner Stobber, seconded by
Commissioner Kaiser. Motion carried.
Motion at 6:45 p.m. to move out of closed session by
Commissioner Kaiser, seconded by Commissioner Stobber.
Motion carried.
Commissioner Kaiser moved to confirm officers for
2006 as presented. Commissioner Berry Seconded. Motion
carried.
Commissioner Stobber moved seconded by Commissioner
Kaiser to interview candidate at March meeting. Motion
carried.
Annual Report is ready and a copy can be found at the
Burlington Public Library.
A change time for the March 1, 2006 meeting scheduled
for 6:30p.m. is changed to 6;:00p.m. in observance of
Ash Wednesday.
Motion at 6:00 p.m. to adjourn by President Pringle,
seconded by Commissioner Stobber. Motion carried
unanimously.
