The meeting was called to order at 6:33 p.m. by President Thomas Pringle. Commissioners present were Patricia Spiegelhoff, James Stobber, Norris (Jack) Berry. Excused was Commissioner David Kaiser. Also present were Police Chief David Walsh and Fire Chief Richard Lodle.

Motion to approve the minutes of the January 5, 2005 special meeting was made by Commissioner Spiegelhoff, seconded by Commissioner Berry. Motion carried unanimously.

Fire Chief Lodle asked to go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 19.85(1)(c) to consider application for membership and consider appointment of probation firefighters to permanent member status. Motion by Commissioner Berry, seconded by Commissioner Spiegelhoff to go into closed session at 6:38 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. Motion to move out of closed session at 6:44 p.m. by Commissioner Berry, seconded by Commissioner Spiegelhoff. Motion carried unanimously. Motion by Commissioner Stobber seconded by Commissioner Berry to bring firefighter candidate in for interview at next meeting. Motion carved unanimously. Motion by Commissioner Spiegelhoff, seconded by Commissioner Berry to move Firefighters Robert Latham to permanent membership. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Lodle also announced the retirement of Firefighter Michael Solofra.

Chief Walsh asked the commission pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation to move into closed session . Motion to move to closed session by Commissioner Spiegelhoff, seconded by Commissioner Berry at 6:55 p.m. Motion carried unanimously. Motion to move out of closed session at 7:04 p.m. by Commissioner Berry, seconded by Commissioner Spiegelhoff. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion at 7:08 p.m. by Commissioner Spiegelhoff, seconded by Commissioner Pringle to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously.
