The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by President Thomas Pringle. Commissioners present were Patricia Spiegelhoff and James Stobber. Excused were Commissioners Norris (Jack) Berry and David Kaiser. Also present were Police Chief David Walsh and Fire Chief Richard Lodle.

Motion to approve the minutes of the September 1, 2004 meeting by Commissioner Stobber, seconded by Commissioner Spiegelhoff. Motion carried unanimously.

Fire Chief Lodle’s Report: Motion to go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statue 19.85 (1)(c) to consider application for membership as a fire fighter at 6:38 p.m. by Commissioner Stobber, seconded by Commissioner Spiegelhoff. Motion carried unanimously. Motion to move out of closed session at 6:40 by Commissioner Spiegelhoff, seconded by Commissioner Stobber. Motion carried unanimously. Candidate will be interviewed at next meeting. Chief Lodle reported on the ordering of a new ladder truck.

Police Chief Walsh’s Report: Motion to go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin State Statue 19.85(1)(c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of police officers, including probationary officer performance at 6:52 p.m. Motion made by Commissioner Spiegelhoff, seconded by Commissioner Stobber. Motion carried unanimously. Motion to return to open session at 7:22 p.m. by Commissioner Stobber, seconded by Commissioner Spiegelhoff. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion to adjourn at 7:24 p.m. by Commissioner Spiegelhoff, seconded by Commissioner Stobber. Motion carried unanimously.
