The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m by President Thomas Pringle. Commissioners present were Patricia Spiegellioff, James Stobber, Norris (Jack) Berry and Thomas Pringle. Excused was Commissioner David Kaiser. Also present were Police Chief David J. Walsh and Fire Chief Richard Lodle.

Motion to approve the minutes as printed of the June 4, 2003 meeting by Commissioner Stobber, seconded by Commissioner Spiegellioff. Motion carried lmanimously.

Report from Fire Chief

Applicant that the commission was to interview for placement on the eligibility list failed to show for interview. Chief reported that 2 firefighters were approaching the end of their probation period.

Report from Police Chief:

The chief reported on the study that retired Chief Ron Patla had commissioned before leaving. In regard to the study, Chief Walsh decided to make the school liaison officer a 2 year rotating appointed assignment. The chief also reported on shift changes and the availability of officers for each shift.

Motion by Commissioner Pringle, seconded by Commissioner Berry to adjourn at 6:43 p.m.
Motion carried unanimously. Next meeting scheduled for August 6, 2003 at 6:30 p.m.
