Meeting called to order at 6:36 pm. Present: Bill Milatz, Ken Kline, Charles Neff, Larry Gobel, Theresa Schuerman, and Cathy Hartzell

No minutes of the October meeting were presented

Monthly Bills:

  • Trying to get Community Bank to pay $2,173.75 for repairs to irrigation systems
  • Spent $1,835.00 for street trees
  • Motion to accept by Neff, 2~d by Kline -- carried

Guests:

Dr. John McKinney, representing the Kiwanis

  • Reviewed plans for a "Car-on-Ice" raffle for winter of 2005-06, at Echo Lake
  • National Kiwanis have liability insurance
  • Have arranged with Merton's or Wanesek to pull car out of the lake via a cable connected to the car
  • No glass o~fluids in car
  • Park board to determine when ice is OK to put car out on ice
  • Motion to approve winter 2005-06 Car-on-Ice raffle event by Kline, 2nd by Neff -- carried

Dick Imrie & Rollie Bauman of Baseball 2000

  • Schmidt Implement will not be providing a mower for next season
  • Contract w/BB2000 for next year will state that they get the sign money and that they are responsible for the interior & contents of the new concession building
  • BB2000 to contact Otter Sales about use of a mower
  • Gobel to mail out a draft of the contract before the Jan 13th, 2005, BB2000 meeting.

No Alderman's report

Superintendent's Report:

  • Skateboard Park still open
  • Baseball nets in process of being taken down
  • Leaf pick up almost complete
  • All bathrooms except Riverfront are closed

Old Business:

  • McCanna Park restroom, no activity. Lions to be invited to January meeting
  • No new report on the Garden Club statue project

New Business:

  • Will receive $500.00 impact fee from the sale of lot on Grove St.
  • All budget requests for 2005 were approved by the Common Council:
  • Congress Softball field retaining wall, paving, & plantings; est. cost $6,000

  • New bathrooms at McCanna Park; contingency fund of $5-10,000

  • Playground equipment at McCanna Park; $15,000

  • Pavilion at Devor Park; $5,000

  • Discussion of future impact fees

  • Motion to cancel December meeting by Kline, 2nd by Hartzell -- carried
  • Request by Chamber of Commerce to use Echo Park on Father's Day weekend for the Hope Walk. Concept OK, but they need to attend a future meeting to explain their plans.
  • Reimbursement of electricity for Bushnell Park from the County is $700.00+
