Certificate of Appropriateness Application
Gloria Henry/Lori Schultz, Coach's Sports Bar &
Grill
488 Milwaukee Avenue, Burlington, WI 53105
Ms. Henry submitted a Certificate of Appropriateness
Application requesting approval for painting the façade
of 488 Milwaukee Avenue. Ms. Henrys request was for
light cream color, trim and shutters painted green and
windows painted white. Color samples were provided for
Commission review. Colors similar to Mautz paint
historical color Andover cream and Mautz paint
historical color Picholine (green).
After some discussion, all agreed that the color
choices were HPC appropriate. Concern was expressed
regarding the project being started prior to HPC
approval. Chairman Stelling stated a letter is mailed to
HPC District property owners yearly detailing HPC
requirements, but the property owners do not always pass
this information along to their tenants.
Chairman Stelling entertained a motion for approval.
Commissioner Strong motioned to recommend approval of
the COA to Gloria Henry for 488 Milwaukee Avenue as
presented with cream for the body portion of the façade
and green as the accent color as presented, with
defining any façade portion above the soffit area must
come back to the HPC for recommendation of approval.
Seconded by Commissioner Kott. There was no further
discussion. All voted unanimously aye, motion carried.
There being no further items for discussion, Chairman
Stelling entertained a motion for adjournment.
Commissioner Strong motioned for adjournment, seconded
by Commissioner Henney. All voted aye and Chairman
Stelling adjourned the meeting at 6:15 p.m.
