EXTRATERRITORIAL ZONING COMMITTEE.
Minutes
August 14, 2001
INTRODUCTION OF MEMBERS
ELECTION OF CO-CHAIRS. Commissioner Tess
nominated Gerald Kaul and John Lynch as co-chairman’s.
Commissioner Schvetz seconded. A voice vote was taken.
All Commission members present were in favor and the
motion carried.
John Lynch took the stand at this time.
EXPLANATION OF THE PURPOSE OF THE COMMITTEE.
Town Attorney Kirt Ludwig gave a presentation showing
the recently annexed area of Highway 36 and some of the
city’s extraterritorial areas and stated the purpose of
forming committee was to combine city and town land use
plans which will involve determining appropriate and
agreeable zoning of parcels. City Administrator Torgler
stated that the city and town have the same intentions
and that the two land use plans seem to meddle well
already.
SET A PUBLIC HEARING DATE. Commissioner Tess
moved that the next meeting be held on Tuesday September
11, 2001 at 6:30 p.m. and Commissioner Schvetz seconded.
A voice vote was taken. All Commission members present
were in favor and the motion carried. Commissioner Tess
moved that a public hearing be held on Tuesday, October
9, 2001 for the extraterritorial zoning ordinance. A
voice vote was taken. All Commission members present
were in favor and the motion carried.
OTHER MATTERS. None
ADJOURN. Commissioner Tess moved to adjourn
and Commissioner Stoffel seconded. A voice vote was
taken. All Commission members present were in favor and
the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 6:43 p.m.
