At the meeting this Friday morning, Mayor Lois called the meeting to order at 7.31 a.m. starting with a roll call: Mayor Claude Lois, David Torgler, Mary Brensinger, Jack Eckola, John Ekes, Kevin McKillip, John Smith, Tom Stelling, Dennis Spankowski, Mike Hohner and Jenny Trick. Excused: Bill Stone.

Mr. Kindschi of HNTB Corporation was invited to the meeting to begin the discussions relating to a potential parking assessment study. Mr. Kindschi referenced the senior traffic and parking planner on the HNTB staff, Chris Luz. Mr. Luz has extensive experience in the field of traffic and parking matters and is apparently nationally recognized for his experience. Mr. Kindschi recommended that Mr. Luz be present at the next meeting.

A copy of the master plan and police department parking study (1993) were provided to Mr. Kindschi for his review and forwarding to Mr. Luz for consideration. Additional traffic data will be requested by Kapur & Associates to reflect the average daily traffic counts within the downtown area. This traffic data should be made available at the April DET meeting.

Jack Eckola motioned and John Ekes seconded to adjourn. All were in favor and the motion carried.
