On this Tuesday evening, Mayor Lois called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m. starting with roll call. Roll Call: Robert Prailes, Peter Girolamo, Steve Rauch, Katie Simenson, Robert Miller, Kent Strong, Thomas Vos and John Thate. Also present were: Interim City Administrator Mark Morien and City Attorney Thomas Kircher.

City Attorney Kircher and Mayor Lois reviewed the terms of the proposed Employment Agreement between the City of Burlington and Kevin M. Lahner (new City Administrator).

Following this review, Alderman Thate moved, and Alderman Rauch seconded to approve the Employment Agreement as presented and authorize the Mayor to sign the Agreement on the City’s behalf. Roll Call: Ayes: Strong, Prailes, Girolamo, Simenson, Rauch, Miller, Vos and Thate. Nays: None. All were in favor and the motion carried.

The alderman asked that the Mayor and the new Administrator review the practice of sick leave accumulations and buyout at the time an employee leaves.

There being no further business, Alderman Vos moved, seconded by Alderman Thate to adjourn the meeting at 6:23 p.m. All were in favor and the motion carried.
