Mayor Claude Lois called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. with the following in attendance: Mayor Claude Lois, Mr. Jack Eckola, Ms. Judy Lemieux, Alderman Robert Miller, Mr. Jim Peterson, Mr. Bil Scherrer and Mr. Jim Spiegelhoff. Also in attendance were the following: Alderman Peter Girolamo, Alderman Tom Vos, Mr. Chris Schanz of RCEDC and Ms. Linda Fellenz of Kapur and Associates. Attorney Tom Kircher arrived at 5:35 p.m. Excused: Interim City Administrator Mark Morien.

Due to the resignations of Ms. Carol Anderson and Mr. Ken Jaeger, two new members were welcomed to the CDA. Mayor Claude Lois introduced Ms. Judy Lemieux and Mr. Jack Eckola.

A motion was made by Mr. Jim Spiegelhoff to nominate Mr. Jack Eckola for chairman. Mr. Eckola declined the nomination. A motion was then made by Alderman Robert Miller to nominate Mr. Bil Scherrer. Mayor Claude Lois seconded the motion and with all in favor, the motion carried.

Alderman Robert Miller motioned and Mayor Lois seconded to approve the minutes from the August 8, 2007 meeting. All were in favor and the motion carried.

An update was given by Mr. Chris Schanz on the status of the Bel-Mur Site. A deadline of August 15, 2007 had been given for developers to submit proposals. No proposals were received at that time. The consensus of the members was to have a for-sale sign posted on the property by the city and to not do anything else at this time.

A motion was made by Mayor Claude Lois to adjourn into closed session per Wis. Stats. 19.85 (1)(g), conferring with legal counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by the body with respect to litigation which it is or is likely to become involved. Mr. Jim Peterson seconded the motion and on a roll call vote all were in favor and the closed session began at 5:40 p.m.

A motion was made by Mayor Lois and seconded by Mr. Jim Spiegelhoff to reconvene into open session. On a roll call vote, all were in favor and the motion carried.

Mayor Claude Lois made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Jim Peterson seconded and with all in favor, the motion carried and the meeting adjourned at 5:54 p.m.
