NEW BUSINESS
Mr. David Torgler discussed Task Order No. 3 that
pertained to engineering on a future parking lot to be
located at 140-142 Jefferson Street. This issue was
originally discussed at the September 2002 meeting and
there was concern regarding the amount of the task
order. Mr. David Torgler has since met with Kapur &
Associates and negotiated a lesser amount based on a
reduction of requirements.
This new lot will not be considered a library parking
lot but a municipal lot and will provide approximately
16 parking stalls. The large shrubs that provided a
screen for the Uhen house will now hinder the visibility
of this new parking lot. Due to the proximity of the
driveway at the library parking lot on Jefferson Street,
it may not be advisable to include another entrance to
the new lot on the same street. A motion was made by Mr.
Jim Peterson to approve Task Order Number 3 at the
not-to-exceed amount of $21,946.00. Mr. Jim Spiegelhoff
seconded the motion and on a roll call vote all were in
favor and the motion carried.
A motion was made by Mr. Jim Peterson to adjourn the
meeting. Mr. Jim Spiegelhoff seconded the motion and
with all in favor the motion carried and the meeting was
adjourned at 6:53p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Beverly R. Gill
