COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 15, 2001
6:30 P.M.
The meeting of the Community Development Authority
was called to order by Chairman Jack Eckola at 6:30 p.m.
with the following in attendance: Jack Eckola, Mayor
Claude Lois, Alderman Robert Miller, Lynn Gruenke, Bil
Sherrer, Attorney Alan Marcuvitz, Attorney Scott
Fleming, City Administrator David Torgler, Jenny Trick
of RECEDC, Fire Chief Dick Lodle, Fire Inspector Mike
Boehmer, Building Inspector Pat Scherrer, the following
aldermen: Frank Cannella, Peter Hintz, James McCourt,
Thomas Vos, John Ekes, James Beardsley, HNTB
representatives Paul Boersma and Jim Machnik. Arriving
at 6:32 was Jim Spiegelhoff; arriving at 6:35 was Ken
Jaeger.
MINUTES
On a motion by Lois and a second by Greunke the
minutes from October 4 and the 18th were
approved. All were in favor and the motion carried.
OLD BUSINESS
None
CLOSED SESSION
At 6:31 p.m. Scherrer made a motion to convene into
executive session per Wisconsin Stats 19.85(1)(e)
Deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public
properties, the investing of public funds or conducting
other specified public business, whenever competitive or
bargaining reasons require a closed session and
Wisconsin Stats 19.85(1)(g) Conferring with legal
counsel for the governmental body who is rendering oral
or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted by
the body with respect to litigation in which it is or is
likely to become involved. Miller seconded the motion
and with all in favor the motion carried.
At 7:58 p.m. the CDA reconvened into open session.
Jaeger made a motion to schedule a public hearing to
determine whether the property at 320 West Chestnut
Street is blighted. Scherrer seconded the motion and on
a roll call vote with Lois and Miller abstaining, the
motion carried.
At 8:00 p.m. Scherrer made a motion to adjourn,
Spiegelhoff seconded and with all in favor the meeting
was adjourned.
