COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
JUNE 7, 2001
6:30 p.m.
The meeting of the Community Development Authority
was called to order by Chairman Jack Eckola at 6:30 p.m.
with the following in attendance: Jack Eckola, Ken
Jaeger, Mayor Claude Lois, Bob Miller, Lynn Gruenke,
Bill Scherrer, Jim Spiegelhoff, David Torgler, Jenny
Trick, Attorney Alan Marcuvitz, Alderman John Ekes,
Alderman Frank Cannella, Alderman Peter Hintz, Alderman
James Beardsley and Bev Gill. Arriving during the
meeting were the following alderman: Jim McCourt, Tom
Vos and John Thate.
MINUTES
On a motion by Mayor Lois and a second by Scherrer
the minutes of May 3, 2001 were approved with a
clarification to the statement that Mayor Lois would not
be discussing or voting on any issues pertaining to the
White River Enterprises, LLC. Project. All were in favor
and the motion carried. On a motion by Jaeger and a
second by Spiegelhoff the minutes of May 9, 2001 were
approved with all in favor.
OLD BUSINESS
A discussion was held on the potential removal of the
overhead lines behind the properties in the 500 block of
North Pine Street. On a motion by Scherrer and a second
by Jaeger, Jenny Trick was instructed to send
information to the eight property owners affected by
this project and to advise them of the cost of
approximately $1,500.00. On a roll call vote all were in
favor and motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
None
CLOSED SESSION
At 6:55 p.m. Scherrer made a motion to adjourn into
executive session that was closed per Wi Stats 19.85
(1)(e) deliberating or negotiating the purchase of
public properties, the investing of public funds, or
conducting other specified public business, whenever
competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed
session. Jaeger seconded, and on a roll call vote all
were in favor and motion carried.
At 7:24 p.m. the CDA reconvened into open session.
On a motion by Miller and a second by Scherrer the
amended Development Agreement with the Burlington
Boardwalk, LLC was approved. On a roll call vote all
were in favor and motion carried.
At 7:26 p.m. Lois moved and Spiegelhoff seconded to
adjourn. All were in favor and motion carried.
