Right-of-Way Permits

The Building Department requires a right-of-way permit for any work within the public right-of-way, which is typically the area between, and including, the sidewalks on each side of the street. • Public utility installation, i.e., electric, gas, telephone, cable TV
  • Cases where construction equipment or dumpsters need temporary use of the right-of-way.

  • $30 for "surface work," not under street pavement, such as sidewalk or drive approach replacement
